Additional Masjid Information
All mosques featured on this website are of the Sunni Muslim ilk. They all follow Quran and Sunnah ie. they fear Allah Subhan wa Ta'ala and love the Final Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and all include themselves as members of the 'Ahle Sunnah wal Jama'ah'. They do have some minor disagreements due to differing understanding of the traditions but as regards the necessary beliefs (Aqeedah) they all agree (as outlined by Imam Abu Ja`far al-Tahawi).
There are other mosques in Leicester, but they do not qualify for the criteria stated above.
Leicester Mosque, Central Mosque, Gulzar e Medina, Masjide Bilal, Tajdar Medina & Usmani Mosque all celebrate Milad un Nabi and are supported by the Barelwi, Hanafi Ulemah. They are mostly attended by believers from the Indian sub-continent.
They promote the fact that our Nabi SAW is Noor (as mentioned in the Quran) and that Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala has blessed him with the ability to see and hear us at all times (as he SAW does in Masjide Nabwi, Medinah Munnawah).
Masjid At Taqwa, Masjid Quba  and the Taybah Islamic Centre do not align themselves with any of the four Madhab (Hanafi, Shafii, Maliki or Hanbali). They follow such recent Ulemah as Sheikh Mohammad Al Albani (RA). The committees of Masjid At Taqwa  & the Taybah Islamic centre identify themselves as 'Salafi', while the former also use the term 'Ahle Hadith'.
Masjid Al Huda, Masjid Kowthar, Masjid Quba and Talimul Islam are Shafi'e masaajid.
All other Masaajid in Leicester (included here in Injamatt.co.uk except Hamidye Caami) align themselves to the Hanafi, Deobandi Ulemah. They are mostly Gujerati in origin coming from India & Africa or England.
